About the Artist
Joseph Frew-Miller is a Savannah, Georgia artist whose acrylic paintings are inspired by the beauty, history, and atmosphere of the South. From quiet marshes and winding waterways to historic architecture and everyday moments, his work seeks to capture the places and stories that make coastal Georgia unique.
A lifelong creative, Joseph has spent more than three decades as an educator while also pursuing passions in filmmaking, writing, acting, and the visual arts. He believes that every creative discipline teaches us to see the world differently, and those experiences continue to influence his work as a painter.
Joseph lives in Savannah with his husband, Charlie, and their beloved dog, Chloe. When he isn't in the studio, he can often be found exploring historic neighborhoods, working with student filmmakers, writing new stories, or serving with Charlie as a Lay Eucharistic Ministers at Christ Church Episcopal. He is also an Appalachian Trail hiker whose love of nature continues to inspire many of his landscapes.
Through his artwork, Joseph hopes to share not only the beauty of the places he paints, but also the sense of peace, wonder, and connection they inspire.
